Matt has an exacting standard when it comes to building.  The awards he won after completing our build are testament to his high level craftsmanship.  Matt is has an easy manner which made it a pleasure to work with him and was gracious and accommodating when we made a number of adjustments as our build took place.

"We had decided to tender for the build and Matt had renovated a close friend’s old farm house and built an extension to their original home, consequently, because of their positive experience and high level of satisfaction with his workmanship, we asked him to tender for our build.

The other builders’ tenders were scant, lacking in detail and had no finite cost because there was a lot of items that were not budgeted for, however, Matt’s tender was incredibly detailed, clear and with a precise cost.  This, and, because our friends were very happy with their experience, we chose McKinnon Building as our builder.

Immediately Matt was contracted, he was chasing up many things that we had not considered or were unaware of as first home builders.  His guidance and assistance during this period was invaluable.

Throughout the build Matt was always on site, had as much passion for the project as what I did and made me feel completely confident in his advice and counsel.  Whenever I called he answered the call or returned it within 15 minutes and always maintained an outstanding level of communication.

Whilst there were hiccups with the build – as there always is – Matt’s compassion and communication alleviated any stress or anxiety associated with the growing pains of creating your Dream Home.

The level of craftsmanship in our home is outstanding, he selects his trades in regard to their high level of workmanship not their availability, which has resulted in a home that has been built with passion and pride with finishes that are first class.

Matt is a great builder, but more importantly he is a caring and compassionate person that has his client’s best interests as his first priority at all times.
